About us
Lahcen was born in the desert and grew up there. He is Berber and belongs to the Aït Atta tribe. His love for this region is deeply ingrained in his heart, and he is constantly drawn back to the vast expanses of the wilderness.
For almost two decades he has been accompanying tours, initially as a camel driver and cook, and later as a tour guide and organiser.
He has been running his own travel agency since 2008.
Cornelia was born in Switzerland and studied architecture.
In the spring of 2015, she fell in love with the country and its people in southern Morocco, and in particular with the desert and Lahcen. In the summer of 2017, she gave up her career and moved to Zagora, come what may.
Since 2019, we have been offering bespoke tours of Morocco via saharatours.ch.
Of course, our very own dromedaries are always with us on our desert tours!
The dromedary, also known as the one-humped or Arabian camel, is a species of mammal belonging to the genus of Old World camels within the camel family.
Dromedaries can be immediately distinguished from the Bactrian camel, the two-humped camel, by their single hump.
